Steampunk at the Papplewick Pumping Station

11th July 2021

Yet another Steampunk event, this time at the Papplewick Pumping Station, Nottinghamshire. I'd never been to this pumping station before even though it is only 15 mins from my home, but it is a beautiful location and the magnificent working Victorian steam pumping engines makes it well worth a visit even without the attraction of a steampunk event. And the ticket cost for the event gives me a free one year pass to the pumping station.

It was a most wonderful day and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with the most friendly steampunk regulars, many of whom have become very good friends. I took loads of photos (just some of them here) and lots were taken of me too. My outfit was much complimented.
