Wallflower Ball, Newark

It was a most enjoyable evening at the steampunk Ball, which was organised by the Newark Steampunk Society at the splendid Buttermarket in Newark. I went with my friend Maxine and wore an outfit that I specially adapted for the occasion. The basic dress is one I've had for some time, but only worn once before at a Whitby Goth Weekend ten years ago. I had to make some alterations to get it to fit (I've put on weight!) and made an open crinoline to make it a bit more 'steampunk'.
